My pain management during CS

Before giving birth, we discuss my pain management with my OB. She said it would be basically the same as last time. My last pain management consist of epidurial anesthesia, morphine injected at the back 2x and oral pain releiver (dolfenal).

On the day of my operation, my anesthesiologist told me to bend so that he could inject my anesthesia at my lower spine and also the tube that would be use for the injection of morphine.

After operation, i was ushered back to my room to rest. When i woke up my world was spinning and i had to vomit! It was hard because i still can't get up, so that i vomitted on myself! Yuck right! Anyway, since i had no solid intake, i vomited green watery stuff. Later i found out it was bile. The nurse had to change my bedding and my dress. I really hated that i can't even help myself to dress. After that incident, i thought i would be okay, but hello.. I vomited again! This time i had a plastic bag ready haha! But i already asked the nurse not to give me anymore morphine, since this was the cause of my vomitting. After that day, since the 1st injection of morphine was slowly leaving my system, i could feel the pain on my abdomen. I still had to get up and walk to the nursery to breastfeed. Anyway, i still had dolfenal every 8 hours, so the pain was a little bearable.

Will tell you my breastfeeding journey the 2nd time around on my next post!
