La Creperie @ Shangri-la Mall

When going out, usually we made it a point to have merienda so that our little one could have his milk. As you know my son don't drink his milk without watching his movies.

My DH decided to try La Creperie located at the ground floor near Haagen Daz. I ordered Angelina's Hot Chocolate and Campagne Crepe. While my hubby ordered his usual, Coffee latte and Mango Hazelnut au Chocolat!

Angelina's Hot Chocolate
The Angelina's Hot Chocolate was superb! Creamy and yet not too sweet. I have not yet tasted Europe's famous Angelina's Hot Chocolate but I hope this will do. Other hot chocolate I loved is Mary Grace's Hot Chocolate. But this tops it off! Yum! It was served with whipped cream on the side and 4 pieces of chocolate buttons. You have to pour the chocolate milk from the pot then add the bits and whipped cream as you like.

Mango Hazelnut au Chocolat
The mango Hazelnut au Chocolat crepe was not too sweet and the mangoes gave contrast to the crepe. A lovely combination for the sweet tooth people.

Coffee Latte
I don't know if the coffee was good since I can't drink coffee for the meantime. But my hubby has no qualms about it, so it might be okay for him.

Campagne
This one was something else! I love this crepe while my hubby was so jealous that he didn't ordered it himself! haha! The Campagne crepe was made of bacon, potatoes, caramelized onions, cheese and jalapeno peppers. I asked for the jalapeno to be served by the side but in the end i mixed it all up. When you cut this the cheese oozed out. Two thumbs up! My hubby almost finished my crepe! LOL!

When we went back, I'll try their other crepes! They have gourmet crepes, Les gastronomic crepes (savory crepes like my campagne) and for the sweet tooth, Crepes Sucrees ( make your own sweet crepes).

Lunch at Boon Tong Kee: Singaporean overload?

While roaming around Sm Moa, we spotted Boon Tong Kee and decided to try it out for a change. By it's name alone you could guess it's a Singaporean restaurant.

I'm not a food blogger, I only write what I think of the food. Below are our orders:
Spinach with Century Eggs Php295.00

Prawn Salad Reg. Php295

Prawns are big and crunchy but it turns us down that it was covered with sprinkles. Nagmukhang circus ang dating instead of a salad.

Fresh Lemonade Php125
Their lemonade was not too sweet and not too sour. Tama lang for me.

Chicken Rice x 2 Php65 each
Hainanese Chicken Rice have a tinge of chicken flavor.

Nako their hot sauce was too hot for me!

Hainanese Chicken Half Php425.00
I loved their Hainanese Chicken because the chicken is flavorful and yet soft. Kahit yung breast part. My hubby ordered Oolong Tea for Php45 per tea pot. The bill came out with plus 10% Service Charge, which is fine because their service was fast and their waiters are attentive. Maybe because there are only 3 tables occupied plus ours. hehe! You should try these restaurant when you want a to eat Singaporean food!

A mini date move

As we all know, those who have children, a date with your spouse is nearly impossible. We squeeze in as little as time together for those huge amounts of time we spent for our children. Who would want to leave his or her child alone to someone without guidance right? But once in a blue moon, we have to squeeze in a mini date with our spouse. This has it's own benefits and downside.

Me and my hubby have to find ways to have a mini date to ourselves. It's not because we don't have anyone to leave our son to. It's just that we don't want to just leave him. haha! He is growing so fast and we might miss the opportunity to teach everything to him. Anyway, TDKR was showing last week and we really wanted to see it. As soon as we can, we did! It was awesome and nothing the other movies shown could beat it. The downside is that it was so long! I became guilty that day.. hehe!

When we went home, all was okay. My son didn't even miss me! hmph! haha! Is this a good thing or bad? He is growing so fast and becoming very independent by the minute!

Coming Home to Mandaue Foam

Whenever coming home from either a shopping trip or from work, I just wanted to rest, read a book and bond with my babies. It's something I would love to do every night and what would complete it is a beautiful and stylish home furnitures.

I was browsing Mandaue Foam and saw these three furnitures that I would really like to own. These three would be perfect in our living room.

This armchair is stylish, cozy and comfortable. This is perfect when I would breastfeed my newborn baby with.

This shoe rack is a convenient way to store my vast collections of shoes! haha! At the same time it's stylish and no one would know that this is a shoe rack. Love it!

My hubby loves to read books before going to bed. We have tons of books from baby books to romance novels to business books to encyclopedia. This bookshelf is perfect at our living area, everyone can enjoy reading our collections while keeping the books in place.

You can visit Mandaue Foam for more of it's collections. It's Your home, your imagination. Your living space could be transformed instantly!

Check out their TVC at youtube! "Mandaue Foam's newest TV commercial"

So many words at once!

My son at about 20th months is speaking word by word. Pointing at objects and saying what it was. If he likes something that he can not do by himself, he would take our hands and lead us to where he wanted it. Funny because just last week he was speaking in gibberish and baby languages. Minding his own world especially when he is watching his favorite cartoons.

Reading the menu

The list of words he knew that I heard him speak:
1. Truck
2. Ball
3. Duck
4. House
5. Door
6. Boat
7. Hat
8. glasses
9. mamy
10. dady
11. ako
12. yaya
13. book
14. fly
15. cat
16. frog
17. flowers
18. egg
19. tiger
20. nose
21. eyes
22. bear

These are just some words that I heard him say. He is now quick to pick up words especially when we point at the objects and say it to him. Someday he will speak in sentences already! How time flies.. My baby is now a toddler! Next on my list is potty training hehe! Goodluck to me!

A fighting fish show..?

A hobby that started just when me and my hubby tried to conceive. This is his form of relaxation because of stress that was caused by people around us.

Fighting Fish as most people knew is that it is for betting. Two of this kind of fish, usually males, when put in one tank would fight to death. The one that emerges alive is the winner. This is not the case for my hubby's fighting fishes. They are well bred and are imported from Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore. Betta Splendens are another name for fighting fish. This are colorful small fishes and are usually for display because of their beautiful fins and different colors.

My husband started about 2 yrs ago, breeding bettas is his past time. He met different people and joined clubs until he was promoted to being the President of ABA (Asia Betta Alliance) just early this year.

As ever the supportive wife, I tried to attend all his shows. Recently, it was held in SM MOA concert grounds. It was bustling with people. Checking the fighting fish, discus and display plants. They even have a very sexy model to help draw people! haha! My husband, as president of the club awards the winners of the show for each category fighting fishes.

The awards

Major Sponsor is the Ocean Nutrition

Entries for each fighting fish is Php150 only. They garnered about 400 entries that day. Kudos to the organizers for a job well done. Anyone interested can contact my husband at his facebook page.

Can't resist to have picture taken with the dad! =P

I already mentally list and note down the things that I needed. 4. Cute Rack for drying cups

My breastfeeding essentials.. What's yours?

When I decided to breastfeed my 1st son, I compiled a list on things that I needed for breastfeeding.

1. I need a double breast pump! I asked my cousin to buy me one at Canada, she bought me a single electric. haha! It served me well. But now I'm pregnant again. I need a double breast pump to shortened my pumping time.

2. I also need some Lasinoh Breastmilk bags. I already had Avent BPA Free cups, but my son uses these  to store his soup stocks. So I might need breastmilk bags for added storage.

3. I bought a fridge-to-go pack last time. This is so convenient! Even I'm not pumping anymore, I used this to store 15 bags of frozen soup stock and brought it to HK with me! My son was just 16 mos. then and he ate only lugaw with soup stock.

4. I also bought a nursing cover. This served me well when we went to SG, at that time my son was just 6 mos and he is exclusively breastfeeding. So everywhere I went and whenever he felt hungry I just breastfed him. I breastfed him during our walks at night at Orchard Road. I even breastfed him during our train ride going back to the hotel. I think I need a new one with back cover this time!

5. I need new nursing bra. I used these often when breastfeeding. It was very convenient without the hassle of hooking and unhooking at the back.

6. Some new nursing wear. Nursing wear allows us to nurse without taking off our clothes. It has secret pockets that opens directly at your breast without exposing any other parts of your body. I love au lait clothings and mamaway nursing wear. I read at dainty moms blog that mommy matters has a fit at home service. I should try that one soon!

7. Last but not the least, I need to buy a cup for feeding breast milk. I wanted to try cupfeeding my daughter breast milk while i'm out. This is to avoid nipple confusion so that when I offer my breast she will gladly take it again. Unlike my son, he knew how to cup feed when he was just 6 mos. but I had no help that's why it became hard for him and he ended up taking in sippy cups. I'll be buying maybe 2 pcs of Axifeed from babymama.

70% off in Rustans: A shopping post

This is a shopping post but not for me! haha! When Citibank texted regarding the 70% off on branded items in Rustans, we decided it's time for a new bag for mama. So we hopped to Shangrila Rustans and checked all the bags that are sale. But unfortunately, bags that are on sale are not that nice.

We settled for LongChamp Le Pliage Cuir. The Natural leather is so supple to touch and the lines found is distinctive that is soo chic and vintage! A must have for every generation. A plus is that it is so light, perfect for an everyday bag. I want one in other colors! Maybe in Duck Blue!!!

Our next shopping find was for my BIL. He already graduated college so my MIL wanted to give him a graduation present that he so well deserved! She wanted a watch for him to wear for his new job! And Tissot won. haha! The Tissot Racing Touch has other capabilities other than telling time. It has a compass, dual time zone capability and a backlight. But the most  nicest feature is that it could record lap times for runners! Cool noh! Sana Oti could maximized all it's functions hehe! Did I say that it's 15% off at Rustans? You could get one too! Sale is ongoing until end of July!
