So when it was my hubby's bday, I asked him if he would wanted try Roboto San for a change. It was eat-all-you can grill buffet with some dessert, dimsum and pizza.

Hojicha from Starbucks

Today, my DH went out and bought me one of the new drinks in Starbucks. The Hojicha Tea Jelly Frappucino Blended Beverage. It tastes like mochi balls for me, not really that sweet with jelly inside. The jelly is not that chewy and could be crushed in between my tongue. Yummy siya ha! Naubos ko lahat! LOL!

It's a mix of hojicha tea, your choice of milk and earl grey tea.

Btw, Frannywanny blog is giving away FIVE (5) Starbucks Coffee tumblers with 4 Complimentary Tall Beverage coupons each!!! Visit her blog na! I did already sana manalo haha!

Breastfeeding helps cure HIV

All of you must knew already that I had difficulty sustaining my pregnancy. Therefore, when I gave birth to my son I already had one thing in mind. To give whatever is best for my son and whatever it took.

Therefore, I decided before giving birth to breastfeed. I attended a class in Medela house, badgered my cousins in Canada to buy me breast pumps and even read about breastfeeding. I also load up some items like Avent cups and nursing cover.

I was determined to breastfeed my son upto whenever he wants to stop. I was a little disappointed when I had to stop. I became pregnant again when he was only 15 mos. I'm taking aspirin and this would be mixed with my BM that's why I had to stop. So when I saw the article about BM helps cure and prevent HIV, I became proud that I did breastfed him even it didn't last that long.

If you wanted to read the article I posted it below.

http://globalhealth.unc.edu/2012/06/breast-milk-kills-hiv-and-blocks-oral-transmission/

I'm proud to say that my son has strong immunity. I already stop Breastfeeding him when I contacted colds. I'm worried that he may get them but he didn't contacted the colds that I had and even still co-sleeps with us. He slept between me and my hubby in our bed. So for my next baby I will breastfeed as long as I have milk to give. hehe! Plus points are the bonding and closeness! You can never be too close to your baby, kasi when the time comes.. He won't just be needing you already and I already dread that day.

Ma Maison - Japanese Western Fusion

Everytime when we visited my OB at Makati, we either have to have lunch first or after it. This time we went for lunch first at Greenbelt before heading to my monthly visits. Dh was first hesitant to try Ma Maison, he is really hesitant to try anything new at all! Haha! Anyway, I convinced him to try this place since I was really getting tired of his usuals.

After asking the concierge where Ma Maison was located, we trotted to it with an empty stomach.

I was really confused about it why they called it Ma Maison, Maison is a french word but Ma is what? They said it was a fusion restaurant of Japanese - western cuisine.

Later that day, I learned that Ma Maison was actually from the Bistro Group ( Fish & Co., Flapjacks, Bulgogi Brothers, Itallianis, Krazy Garlic, Pig Out, Fridays and The Stock Market). They also sent me an email to visit this restaurant. No wonder I remembered it.

The waitress that was serving us was very attentive and attractive. We were wondering that she could be a model if not working there. Lol!

The chicken wings are yummy. but they could do better kasi it's not crispy haha!

This one I love! Malambot siya and not tough! Also love the fruits that came with the meal.

This curry was only so-so according to my hubby. He wanted the UCC version better.

The tea after everything we ate was refreshing. It drown all the umay. =P

Belated Father's Day Post

Early sunday morning, I posted in my FB wall a picture of my son and my husband with a caption.
The first time he holds our son, an unspoken promise to be the best father he could be.. Happy Father's Day Bi.. I know you will be the best and will continue to be.. Love you!

That picture was taken when I was still in the hospital. He was holding our son while I was resting and I noticed, it's like they were talking! I took the opportunity to take a picture with my Blackberry. This was such a priceless picture that I will always always cherish.

I know my husband will be a good father, even he won't be that good to me. I will always be grateful that he helped me during the first few months until now. From changing diapers, bathing and feeding. Basta may time siya he will do it. Aba humaba ang pasensya niya nung nagkaanak kami ha! hehe!

Anyway, it the coming few months we will have another baby. This time it's a girl. Let's see how he will cope up with the terrible 2's haha!

A belated happy father's day to my hubby!

I also posted a picture of my father. After all I was raised by him.

I think we took it from you to look good in photos! haha! Happy Father's Day Papa! We always love you even though we have our differences.

I know it's a little impersonal for a message. But, I still remember what he has done for me during my teenage years. Having to cope up with a pasaway na anak.. haha! But still I love him kahit na minsan nakakainis sya.. LOL! My siblings can attest to that!

A happy happy father's day to all!

Celebrating Father's Day at Crystal Jade

We celebrated father's day of my hubby at Crystal Jade Greenhills.

First came out is the Sauteed Chicken in Sweet and Sour. I was surprised it came out in a ball of chicken rather than strips. I much rather other variant next time. The sauce is nothing special.

The Seafood Fried Rice was yum! Big and fresh shrimps!

I find the Century and Salted Egg Spinach a little to soupy.

Ahh! The dumplings! They only have one variant but nonetheless it was very tasty. It came out piping hot and the soup still intact. I also loved the skin, perfect texture to hold all the soup inside.

Yang Chow Fried Rice has nothing special about it. It still taste the same. although they had much cabbage in it. haha!

Last came out was the main event! Braised Pork Knuckles. They waitress asked us if we wanted it deboned. And we said yes! They let us see the bone part after to make sure it has no left overs.

The cua pao was really small. We can't put the pork inside it, so what we did was we just dipped it in their sauce and ate it as is.

The braised pork was delicious and worth every penny. I love it that it's really soft and chewy. It almost melt in my mouth! They sauce was thick but not too thick. The vegetables crunchy! Yumm! Hope we could go back again! =P

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3

Yey Yey Yey! I already brought a new cam! I know this is not the latest gadget out there, but still it is a new camera for me! And I super love it! I carry it whenever we went out! Plus, I got the color red! It's not my fav color but it will do. I still have to study the features because it's quite foreign to me. One thing I know is that it's a 12 megapixel cam with interchageable lens! hahaha! Oh! I could also shoot pictures that blur the background!

LexNfant for toddlers

When we visited the trade fair in HK last April, I saw these feeding tools for toddlers. Apparently, they were available in Dimensions here but not for toddlers. These are silicone and are safe for babies. Silicone are heat resistant, that's why they are safe to use for newly cooked food.

I bought one big collapsible bowl, one teething spoon and one two-handle cup.

I brought the collapsible bowl everywhere we go because it easily fits in the bag. Unfortunately for me, I lost it! And Dimensione doesn't carry LexNfant products yet. They said they only carry LexNliving for adults. Hay, badtrip.. Just when I thought I found the perfect bowl on-the-go.. It got lost!

Update! : My MIL just found it this morning at the side of the car! LOL! Makalimutin na talaga ako!

Yayaless for 49 days

It's already been a week when our yaya went home. She had to attend to her mom's funeral in their province.

In chinese culture when someone died in a family, everyone in that family should not go visit another ones home for 49 days. That's why I have been yayaless for a week already and counting. She said she will be back.

I have been fortunate enough to find a yaya that loves my son that much to have patience to feed him milk everyday. You see my son doesn't drink milk easily, we have to hold the cup for him. Either he have to watch TV or be entertained in other ways while drinking his milk. My DH always gave up on him, me on the other hand, have to have patience that stretch a million miles! LOL!

Already watching TV

Last wednesday, I have to put him in his playpen while I had to go shower. When I was done, this is what I saw.

My silly silly son haha! Became bored while waiting for me! LOL!
